Traveling Notary Service

Caring Hands Traveling Notary Service is designed to assist busy professionals and individuals who need a Notary to be available at a time and place of their choosing. Washington DC is a fast paced and time sensitive city, finding a Notary and getting to their location is not always an option. Caring Hands Traveling Notary specializes in traveling to: Places of business, client’s homes, hospitals or any predetermined meeting location. We also maintain a downtown office that is open to the public.

As a Washington DC Notary we can perform the following functions:

Witness and attest signatures: Obtain proof of identity (government issued driver’s license, passport or employee identification card) of the person signing a document. Watch as a document is being signed.

Administer Oaths and Affirmation: An oath is a spoken, solemn promise to a Supreme Being that is made by a Notary: i.e. “I solemnly swear that the statements in this document are true, so help me God.”

An Affirmation is a spoken, solemn promise on one’s honor, with no reference made to a Supreme Being, that is made before a Notary: i.e. “I solemnly affirm that the statements in this document are true.”

Copy Certifications: Identifying a document as a copy of an original.

Fees:

Only $2.00 per general notarized signature (Washington DC standard for all notarizes)

Travel Charge Downtown - $50.00 (Covers the first hour - $25.00 per hour or percentage thereof at the location). Downtown covers Capital Hill, Georgetown, SW and as far north as the 2000 block.

Travel Charge Upper NW, NE and SE - $60.00 (Covers the first hour - $25.00 per hour or percentage thereof at the location).

Emergency Service - Additional $25.00 on top of the base price for service needed within 1 hour, service after 5pm and weekend service.

PAYMENTS: Cash, Check or Credit Cards are accepted. Payment is due at the time of service. Credit Card payment receipts will be emailed or faxed from our office.
