Procedures
Each Embassy/Consulate is different in what requirements and fees are needed for Document Authentication. (Click Here).
Notarized Documents. Caring Hands will need to know which country(ies) each document will be used in. If a document needs to be legalized by more than one country, you must submit a separate notarized original of the document for each country.
OR
Documents Already certified by the Secretary of State of the state where the document was originated from (executed and/or notarized). Caring Hands will need to know the country(ies) each document is to be used.
NOTE: Documents which are certified under the official seal of a Federal agency do not need to be notarized and certified by the Secretary of State. You can just tell us which country(ies) it will be used, and we will obtain the U.S. State Department authentication or apostille certification and/or Embassy legalization.
Items to include with submission to Caring Hands:
Please include the following items when submitting your documents to Caring Hands:
Original Documents.
Tell us what services you need for each document.
Appropriate payment (checks and/or money orders as appropriate) payable to the appropriate individuals.
- Checks to the US State Department should be payable to the U.S. State Department . The U.S. State Department accepts Personal Checks, Company Checks and/or Money Orders. The U.S. State Department's fee is $8.00 per document and only accepts 15 documents per day per individual. (Example: If you are submitting more than 15 documents, please submit two (2) separate checks. First check should be for the first 15 documents, 15 x $8.00 = $120. The second check should be written for the remaining documents x $8.00) (Click Here).
- Checks to the individual Embassy/Consulate should be payable directly to the Embassy. To see specific requirements for payments and fees, (Click Here).
- Checks to Caring Hands should be payable to Caring Hands Services, Inc. Caring Hands accepts Personal Checks, Company Checks, Money Orders and/or Credit Cards (VISA and MasterCard).
Contact name and phone # where you can be reached during regular business hours.
Prepaid return envelope (i.e., Federal Express, DHL, UPS, Airborne, USPS, etc.) so that we can return your completed documents to you. Please be sure to keep the "Sender's Copy" of your waybill so that you are able to track the package at a later date if needed.
Once the above items are received by Caring Hands, we will then obtain the U.S. Department of State authentication and/or embassy(ies) legalization.
